ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex dealt with a torn meniscus in her left knee for the better part of 2024. After months of intense rehab, she plans to return to action later this year.
During an interview with Nic Atkin of the Bangkok Post following ONE Fight Night 27 last Friday, Jan. 10, the 27-year-old shared that fans will most likely see her compete again in May.
While many expect it to be an MMA fight, Stamp also pointed out that she wants to have a warm-up fight first under kickboxing rules, saying:
"Yeah, maybe (get a) first fight as a warm-up fight, maybe in kickboxing."

This could turn out to be a wise decision for the Thai heroine, as returning to her striking roots might provide the confidence she needs before facing longtime friend Denice Zamboanga in a ONE women's atomweight MMA world championship unification bout.
'The Menace' claimed 26 pounds of interim women's atomweight MMA gold over Alyona Rassohyna via second-round TKO at ONE Fight Night 27.
Denice Zamboanga ready to give Stamp all the time she needs to get back into form
Denice Zamboanga is not in a rush to have her unification match with Stamp and would even prefer for the Fairtex Training Center affiliate to be at her peak before they cross paths inside the circle.
The first-ever Filipina MMA world champion told Nick Atkin ahead of her world title-winning performance inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:
"It's up to the champion. There's no pressure on her. [I'll be ready] if she's 100 percent ready."
