Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang will be rooting for Roberto Soldic when he makes his highly anticipated debut at ONE on Prime Video 5.

After announcing his signing with the promotion in August, Soldic will make his first walk to the Circle on December 2nd when ONE Championship returns to Manila for an epic double-header at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Aung La N Sang discussed Sodic’s debut against undefeated Russian Murad Ramazanov and revealed that he hopes to see Soldic walk away with the victory.

“I mean, I hope Roberto wins. But either way you know, it could go either way. I don’t really, I stopped guessing who’s gonna win because I think ‘oh this guy’s grappling is good, his striking is this good’ but the thing is it’s the fight.”

Aung La added:

“I don’t know who’s gonna win that fight man, I can’t predict the future. But it’s gonna be a good one. It depends if Ramazanov can take him down and pound him for the decision or if the guy’s gonna use his footwork and keep it on the feet.”

Fans won’t have to wait quite as long to see ‘The Burmese Python’ back in the Circle. Aung La N Sang is slated to face another Asian MMA legend, Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami at ONE 163 on November 19th.

Aung La N Sang wouldn’t look past Roberto Soldic’s first opponent, Murad Ramazanov

While much of the conversation has surrounded the debut of former KSW two-division champion Roberto Soldic at ONE on Prime Video 5, Aung La N Sang warned fans not to look past his undefeated opponent, Murad Ramazanov:

“He [Soldic] doesn’t have an easy fight at all. I’m not gonna look past the guy he’s gonna fight. The guy [Ramazanov] is a great grappler, big for his weight class. I wouldn’t look past his opponent, his opponent is 11-0.”

Debuting in 2020, the Russian grappler has scored three straight victories inside the Circle against Bae Myung Ho, Hiroyuki Tetsuka, and former welterweight world champion, Zebaztian ‘The Bandit’ Kadestam. As a high-level grappler who is more than capable of handling himself on his feet, Ramazanov will be an excellent test for ONE’s hottest free-agent signee.
