Aung La N Sang's road back to the world title

Former two-division world champion Aung La N Sang is looking to re-earn his lost ONE Championship throne. After a loss to Reinier de Ridder, the 'The Burmese Python' is back in the ONE circle on the trail working towards a shot at the ONE middleweight world championship.

In just November 2022, 'The Burmese Python' earned an impressive first-round TKO finish against MMA veteran 'Thunder' Yushin Okami. Upcoming at ONE Fight Night 6, Aung La is planning to earn another stoppage against 'Giba.'

Aung La spoke to ONE Championship and outlined his advantages, he said:

“[Galvao is] going to be physically strong. He’s a jiu-jitsu black belt. He’s down to throw power and looping shots as well. I feel like I’m a little bit better than him in the striking department, a little bit cleaner. I think on the ground, I’ll do okay against him. But I think my conditioning is better than his."

The Myitkina-native added that more than anything, he is looking to put on a show for the fans:

"If you watch any of my fights, I’m always looking for the finish. I want to get the finish and I’m going to work hard to get the finish.”
