There's no better way to enter the world title picture than securing a highlight-reel finish, and that is what Aung La N Sang ought to do when he steps inside the Circle for ONE 168: Denver. The former two-division king meets undefeated Turkish star Shamil Erdogan in a middleweight MMA fixture inside Ball Arena on Sept. 6.

There, the 39-year-old seeks to extend his winning run to four and close in on an opportunity to regain what was once his.

While respecting what his foe brings to the table, 'The Burmese Python' feels like he should be able to formulate a winning plan and deliver for the masses on the organization's second on-ground spectacle in the United States.

Speaking to the promotion, the Kill Cliff FC man shared:

"It's gonna be a hard fight. It's going to be a hard three-rounder, and I'm going to look to break his face."

This doesn't come as much of a surprise, though, especially from a talented finisher like Aung La N Sang. The Florida-based fighter has racked up a hellish 28 knockouts and submissions across 30 career victories.

If the Burmese sporting hero lives up to his words, a fourth consecutive highlight-reel moment could well be on its way when he returns at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.

Shamil Erdogan wants to push himself on the brink of ONE gold with statement win over Aung La N Sang

Meanwhile, Shamil Erdogan knows a victory over former ONE middleweight MMA world champion Aung La N Sang could see him fast-track his bid to claim the coveted 26 pounds of gold.

The Dagestani-born Turk, in a separate interview with ONE Championship, said:

"My hope is a win over him will open the door for me to a championship belt."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver, which emanates live in U.S. primetime from Ball Arena, can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
