Former ONE double champ Aung La N Sang will be fighting in front of a US crowd for the first time in nearly 20 years. At ONE Fight Night 10, ONE Championship will have its first North American live show and 'The Burmese Python' will be on its main card.

Across the Circle from Aung La will be Chinese MMA standout Fan Rong. Aung La is riding a two-fight knockout streak and is looking to notch a third one in his American homecoming on May 5th.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the former ONE middleweight and light-heavyweight world champion spoke about what its like to perform in the US again:

"It’s going to be very exciting. No 20-plus hour flights, which I don’t mind now. I’m kind of used to it now. I just see it as a day for myself to relax, read a book, watch movies, and eat some snacks on the airplane. For me, it ain’t too bad anymore."

Aung La, a native of Myanmar before immigrating to the US, has been flying in and out of Asia to perform inside the Circle. Having to travel and acclimate yourself to different weather conditions around the huge continent can truly affect your performance in the cage. Let's see if we witness a different level of 'Burmese Python' once he enters the 1stBank Arena in Colorado.

Aung La N Sang plants to dominate and break Fan Rong on all fronts

Aung La N Sang will be hunting to finish Fan Rong inside regulation come ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado.

Making his 19th straight appearance in ONE Championship, Aung La N Sang will look to score a third straight knockout en route to a possible world title shot again.

On his plans for the evening of May 5th, 'The Burmese Python' told ONE:

“I’m looking for a finish. Honestly, I’m looking for a grand finish. If the submission is there, I’ll take it, but I’m not going to force anything. I’m just going to look to break him and outwork him. I’ll just break him.”

Aung La N Sang last fought in January, knocking out Gilbert Galvao for his second straight first-round finish. Since losing both his world championships to Reinier de Ridder, the former ONE double champ has scored three victories out of four bouts.

Meanwhile, Fan Rong is quite hungry to make a name for himself in the division. A win over a former two-division world champ will definitely put him in the upper echelon of his weight class.

ONE Fight Night 10 goes down on May 5 at the 1stBank Center in Colorado. The entire card is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
