The two top fighters will collide in the headlining bout of ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, happening at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the undisputed heavyweight world title.

Aung La N Sang shared his take on the upcoming title bout in an interview with SCMP MMA. He gave the Russian the advantage over the reigning champ on the strength of his speed and power.

“He’s gonna be a little bit faster than Arjan. From what I see from Arjan, Arjan is a great wrestler right? He’s a great wrestler, but what if he can’t take Malykhin down, I think Malykhin’s hands are gonna be a little bit faster, a little bit more powerful.”

He added:

“So I’m gonna lean towards Malykhin, but at the heavyweight division anything can happen.”

Malykhin claimed the interim heavyweight world title in February 2022, defeating Belarusian Kirill Grishenko by second-round knockout. He also became the ONE light heavyweight world champion by demolishing former king Reinier de Ridder last December.

Bhullar, for his part, ascended to the top of the division by topping former heavyweight champion Brandon Vera by technical knockout in their showdown in May 2021.

As for Aung La N Sang, he has won back-to-back matches and is set to return to action in May. He'll compete at ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground event in the United States.

Aung La N Sang was at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13, where he made short work of returning Brazilian fighter Gilberto Galvao with a technical knockout victory in the opening round.

During his post-fight interview inside the circle, Aung La N Sang expressed interest in fighting at ONE’s first-ever live show in the U.S. Weeks later, his wish was granted.

The Kill Cliff FC fighter, who once simultaneously held the middleweight and light heavyweight world titles, is no stranger to quick turnarounds of late as he fought Galvao just two months after defeating Japan’s Yushin Okami by first-round TKO in November.

Looking to snap Aung La N Sang’s winning roll is ‘King Kong Warrior’ Fan Rong, who is out to bounce back after losing his previous fight against Vitaly Bigdash in December 2021.

ONE Fight Night 10 is headlined by the trilogy fight between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes. As with all ONE shows on Amazon Prime Video, it will be aired live and for free to all subscribers of the streaming platform in North America.
