Aung La N Sang has long believed that anything can happen in a fight; even if you’re on weight, well-prepared, and doing everything right in a fight, there’s always a chance of you ending up on the wrong side of a decision.
Nothing could be more true, especially when it comes to the Lee family at ONE Championship. Christian and Angela Lee are good examples of athletes who have been on both sides of the coin: winning by incredible upset or being caught on the wrong side of a decision.
But as Aung La pointed out recently, especially after considering their last performances, it’s a mistake to count the Lee family out.
With Christian Lee moving up a weight class to challenge Kiamrian Abbasaov for the chance to become a rare double world champion, Aung La learned better than to doubt Lee’s ability to achieve that goal.

He told The MMA Superfan:
“It is possible, Angela was close too, you know. So you cannot count the Lee family out. If Martin and I can do it, anybody can do it. Crazy huh? It’s a sport of MMA.”
Averaging two to three fights a year at ONE Championship since the age of 17, Christian Lee's spirit for competition hasn’t diminished.
After flat-out dominating the lightweight division, Christian Lee is well equipped to be the best pound-for-pound striker in the world. Holding the record for most wins, stoppage victories, and knockouts in the promotion’s history, Lee has a better chance than anyone right now to achieve that double champ status.
