Aung La N Sang doesn’t think much of his ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video opponent Fan Rong.
‘The Burmese Python’ will return to the circle on May 5 with the goal of earning his third straight victory. Standing in his way will be the ‘King Kong Warrior’ Fan Rong. Splitting wins and losses in his four appearances under the ONE Championship banner, Fan has lost to opponents Aung La N Sang is very familiar with himself – Vitaly Bigdash and ONE middleweight world champion Reinier de Ridder.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Aung La shared his candid thoughts on Fan’s record and strength of schedule compared to his own:
“I mean, he’s tough, he’s well-rounded everywhere and he’s lost to the two guys I lost to as well. But I don’t think he’s – his record is good, but I don’t think he’s fought the type of fighters I fought.”

Aung La N Sang is gunning for his third-straight finish at ONE Fight Night 10
After a skid that saw him drop two out of three bouts inside the circle, Aung La N Sang has gotten back to his winning ways as of late.
‘The Burmese Python’ has scored first-round knockouts against Japanese legend Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami and the returning Gilberto Galvao. Competing in front of an American audience for the first time in almost a decade, Aung La will be gunning for a third-straight KO on May 5 when ONE Championship invades the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
Aung La fully expects his opponent to utilize grappling, but if that is where he needs to go in order to finish his opponent, that is exactly what the Myanmar superstar is prepared to do:
“I’m looking for a finish and if it means grappling, I will grapple. If it means striking, I will strike, but I’m gonna look for a finish.”
Fan Rong will be looking to get back in the win column following a third-round submission loss to former ONE middleweight world champion Vitaly Bigdash. Prior to that defeat, ‘King Kong Warrior’ had earned two wins in a row against Sherif Mohamed and Yuri Simoes.
