Aung La N Sang will be ready for anything Brazilian veteran Gilberto Galvao brings at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.

‘The Burmese Python’ will be looking to secure his second straight win in the circle as he continues to re-group and re-establish himself as a world title contender. Standing in his way will be Galvao, who has not competed in more than three years. Nevertheless, Galvao’s power and ground game are sure to present a challenge for the former two-division world champion.

Ahead of their clash at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Aung La N Sang told ONE Championship that he will be prepared for anything Galvao brings to the cage on Friday night:

“I’m prepared for everything. I’ve trained very hard for this one, I’m just thankful to be here with all the great Muay Thai fighters to be here in Thailand. I’m very thankful for the hospitality and I love to be here and I’m so honored to be here."

He added:

“Whatever Galvao brings to me on Saturday morning [Friday night in the U.S. , it’s not gonna matter because I’ve trained very hard for this one. I’m prepared for everything.”

Aung La N Sang is willing to wait for a ONE world title opportunity

Aung La N Sang has been chomping at the bit to get his middleweight world championship back ever since he relinquished it to Reinier de Ridder. With a convincing win over Gilberto Galvao at ONE Fight Night 6, ‘The Burmese Python’ will inch him a little bit closer to a title opportunity, but he has no intention of rushing the process:

“I’m sure De Ridder’s gonna need some time off, so it’s okay,” Aung La told ONE Championship. “I wanna stay active. I wanna keep improving as a mixed martial artist; fill in some of my holes. And just keep being a better mixed martial artist and also just keep putting on exciting shows for the fans. That to me is very important. I wanna see exciting bouts… as a fan I wanna put on great shows for the fans as well.”

After dropping three out of four, Aung La N Sang's last appearance inside the circle was a true return to form, delivering a brutal second-round knockout against Japanese MMA icon Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami at ONE 163. He’ll look to repeat that result this Friday night in front of a raucous crowd in Bangkok.
