Aung La N Sang is preparing to make his first appearance of 2024 when he returns to Denver on September 6.
The last time that fans saw the ONE Championship icon in action was in May of last year at the 1stBank Center.
Now, he looks to secure his second win in Denver when he makes the walk at the Ball Arena to face the undefeated Shamil Erdogan.
Aung La may be coming to the end of his career but he's still competing at the highest level in his weight class with three finishes in his last three outings.

He now looks to do the same against an opponent that could go on to be a real force in this division.
The former two-weight world champion is publishing a video series on his YouTube channel ahead of this fight where in the first episode, he spoke about his specific focus for this training camp:
"So in this camp, we're going to focus a lot on shutting our opponent's game plan down and we're going to make sure my body is at the optimal function, and we don't want to rush it but we want to steadily build into it."

Aung La N Sang doesn't need to rewrite the playbook
At this stage in his career, it's not necessary for Aung La N Sang to completely start from scratch when it comes to preparing himself for this fight.
'The Burmese Python' clearly has the skills to compete with anyone in this weight class.
With that in mind, his main focus is on making sure that he knows what his opponent will be trying to do in this match-up and making sure that his body is in the best shape possible.
Aung La is a veteran at this stage in his career and he will look to use that to his advantage next time out.
