Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang is looking to sustain his winning momentum of late and is working on every facet of his game to be in solid fighting shape for his next fight in May.

Among the things he is working on is his stamina, especially since he will be competing next in the elevated state of Colorado for ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. It will be the first-ever live on-ground event of ONE Championship in the United States.

‘The Burmese Python’ is taking on Fan Rong of China in a middleweight showdown, part of the 11-fight card for the landmark U.S. show at the 1stBank Center in Colorado on May 5.

Aung La N Sang assured fans that for his return fight in the States after nearly a decade, his stamina will be up to par, thanks to the help and guidance of his team at Kill Cliff FC.

He told ONE Championship in an interview:

“My cardio will be on point. I have a professional team of guys that helps me acclimate to the elevation. I’ve done my research on this, and I’m going to be professional about it.”

Aung La N Sang, who once simultaneously held the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world titles, has been impressive in tearing down his recent opponents.

Both of his last two fights in a span of just two months all came by way of technical knockouts inside the opening round. The victories set him back on track for another shot at the middleweight gold, which he lost in October 2020.

Out to stop him is Fan Rong, who has long been in the conversation as a possible opponent of Aung La and now gets a crack at the former world champion.

ONE Fight Night 10 will be aired live and for free to all North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.

Aung La N Sang reveals he’s done extensive scouting on upcoming opponent Fan Rong

Burmese-American fighter Aung La N Sang has long been preparing for a possible fight with Fan Rong of China and feels he has scouted him enough to be ready for their scheduled clash in May.

‘The Burmese Python’ is set to jostle with ‘King Kong Warrior’ in a middleweight clash at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Colorado, U.S.A.

Having studied his opponent in the past, Aung La N Sang feels he already has a grip on what Fan Rong will bring come fight night but is in no way underestimating the Chinese fighter.

He told SCMP MMA:

“I was supposed to fight him then they switched that to Leandro [Ataides] and then you know, last fight, they switched it to my last opponent so I’ve studied him twice now already but it is what it is…”
