Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang plans on delivering an absolute banger in his long-awaited return to the circle this summer.

More than a year removed from his slick second-round submission victory over Fan Rong at ONE Fight Night 10, 'The Burmese Python' steps back on martial arts' biggest global stage on Friday, September 6 looking for his fourth-straight finish.

Standing in his way will be undefeated Turkish sensation Shamil Erdogan, who sees Aung La as nothing more than a stepping stone to a potential shot at the ONE middleweight MMA world championship.

With only a few short weeks left until their hotly anticipated scrap at ONE 168: Denver, Aung La N Sang promised to bring fight fans a can't-miss clash in 'The Mile High City':

"The best is yet to come, and I’m gonna put on a banger fight,” Aung La told ONE Championship in a recent interview.

Will Shamil Erdogan keep his 'O' intact against Aung La N Sang at ONE 168: Denver?

Aung La N Sang goes into ONE 168: Denver having won his last three bouts in decisive fashion, knocking out Japanese MMA legend Yushin Okami and Gilberto Galvao in back-to-back bouts before his guillotine submission victory over the aforementioned Fan Rong.

It's an especially impressive run for the 39-year-old — particularly after dropping three out of his previous four, including a pair of tough title losses against Reinier de Ridder.

With eyes on one more run at the middleweight crown, the Myanmar superstar will have to go through another very tough test when he meets Erdogan, a fight who has never once known defeat.

Boasting a 9-0 record, Erdogan made his ONE Championship debut at ONE Friday Fights 22 in Bangkok, securing his own second-round victory over Fan Rong.

Now, the Kremost Fight Club will be looking for both win No. 10 and the biggest victory of his career when he meets beloved fan favorite Aung La N Sang in The Centennial State.
