Former two-division world champion Aung La N Sang is far from hanging up his gloves, but if he is to, he wants to do it by leaving it all in the fight arena.

‘The Burmese Python’ made this known in his post-fight interview at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13 in Bangkok.

Aung La N Sang said:

“I want to go out on my shield. I want to be carried away on my shield.”

The Burmese-American fighter was one of the winners at ONE Championship’s first live event of the year at the Impact Arena, making short work of the returning Brazilian warrior Gilberto Galvao with a first-round technical knockout (strikes) in their catchweight showdown.

It was the second straight win for Aung La N Sang in just three months, following his first-round TKO win over Yushin Okami at ONE 163 in November.

Following his victory over Galvao, Aung La N Sang made a case for himself to be included in ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the United States on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10.

He has solid game form of late, apart from being a potential crowd-drawer, especially among passionate Burmese fight fans in the US.

ONE Fight Night 10 will be held at the 1STBANK Center in Colorado and headlined by the trilogy fight between ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes.

Aung La N Sang willing to take on any opponent at ONE Championship’s upcoming US event

It remains to be seen if he will be included in the card for ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the US, but middleweight fighter Aung La N Sang has expressed his readiness for it and against any opponent.

ONE is set to make its US debut on May 5 in Colorado with ONE Fight Night 10, which will be headlined by the trilogy fight between ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes.

Aung La N Sang, who was one of the victors at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok, said it will be an honor to be part of the fight card for the promotion’s first US show and he is prepared to answer the call if asked.

He said in the circle after his win at ONE Fight Night 6:

"Chatri [Sityodtong], if you need me, let me know. I'm available for whenever, the Denver card, let's go! It feels great to be back. I had a little layover and now I'm back to fighting and in three months, let's keep this ball rolling. I'm excited to go again."

He added:

"Anyone - it don't matter. I'm ONE Championship’s hitman. Let's go, anybody. A title fight would be good too. Let's go!"

Aung La once simultaneously held the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world titles before losing them in successive fashion to Reinier de Ridder.
