Aung La N Sang reflected on his fighting career thus far by naming his most significant accomplishment.

‘The Burmese Python’ is one of the most decorated fighters in ONE Championship history. Holding a promotional record of 14-4, Aung La was previously a two-division world champion who won seven consecutive fights. Although the 37-year-old is still racking up wins, he took some time to appreciate his accomplishments.

During the ONE Fight Night 6 post-fight interview, he had this to say about his most significant achievement:

“I would say winning a world title for somebody that's from Myanmar, from a small village in Myanmar. I think that would equate to the biggest achievement. Like, I'm not super talented. I'm not physically gifted. No, I don't have, I mean, if you look at my attributes, it's like, I have a hard head and a hard hand. But I'm not a super athlete.”

Aung La continued by saying:

“I'm not super long, but I work and I grind and I work hard. And I try to make up for those with hard work, and just putting my head down and working. I guess the biggest achievement would be for somebody from a small village in Myanmar to be able to capture a world title in a big organization like ONE Championship.”

The Myanmar native isn’t done winning MMA fights. He started the calendar year by securing his second straight win with a first-round knockout against Gilberto Galvao. Aung La made a statement and showed fans that he still has enough in the tank for another world championship run.

Aung La N Sang praises his fans for traveling anywhere to support him

Aung La N Sang dominated at ONE Fight Night 6, but his performance was arguably not the most impressive aspect of his appearance. ‘The Burmese Python’ received an astonishing reaction from his fans as he made his way to the circle.

During the same post-fight interview, Aung La discussed his diehard fanbase by saying:

“And my friends and I will show up in any city in the world. We have 60 million Burmese in the world, they're going to show up no matter which city it is.”

Aung La N Sang has won two consecutive fights as he gets closer to a world title shot. The Kill Cliff FC product lives and trains in South Florida, making him interested in fighting at ONE’s U.S. debut on May 5.

Considering the fact that he took minimal damage at ONE Fight Night 6, it won't come as a surprise to see ‘The Burmese Python’ fight at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
