ONE Championship legend Aung La N Sang hopes to see Muay Thai represented inside the circle when the promotion makes its long-awaited debut in the United States this May.
ONE announced that they would invade the 1stBank Center in Colorado for ONE on Prime Video 10. Airing live on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service, the event will be headlined by a massive main event featuring ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson defending his belt against the former lightweight king, Adriano Moraes, in a highly-anticipated trilogy bout.
Sharing his excitement for ONE’s North American debut, Aung La N Sang said that he hopes to see Muay Thai fighters like Rodtang Jitmuangnon step inside the circle in front of a raucous American crown in 2023.
“They have to showcase Rodtang and the Muay Thai guys because Muay Thai in 4-ounce gloves is amazing. There are a lot of Muay Thai fans here in the East Coast and the West Coast who love Muay Thai. [They’re] fanatics. They’re going to fill up the arena.”

While nothing has been officially announced beyond the main event, ONE Championship will most certainly break out the big guns for one of the biggest nights in promotional history. We can only assume that ‘The Iron Man’ will be part of those plans.
Aung La N Sang is ready to be part of the festivities on May 5
Myanmar sports icon Aung La N Sang is ready for the phone call asking him to be part of ONE Championship’s debut on the mainland. Taking to Instagram, ‘The Burmese Python’ delivered a very brief but direct message to his coach.
“Put me in, coach. I want in on that show.”
Aung La N Sang is still in the process of bouncing back from losing not one but two ONE world championships in the span of a few months. Formerly the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight champion, Aung La dropped the titles in back-to-back fights against ‘The Dutch Knight’ Reinier de Ridder. Dropping three of his last four, Aung La was able to get back into the win column with an impressive victory over Japanese MMA icon Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami at ONE 163 in November.
If ‘The Burmese Python’ gets the call to compete in Colorado, who would you like to see him square off with inside the circle?
