Aung La N Sang says having a high fight IQ is ‘very underrated’

Aung La N Sang is one of the most experienced and influential fighters on ONE Championship’s roster.

The former double world champion has made the walk to the circle 18 times in his career, establishing himself as one of the biggest names in the promotion.

ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video will be new territory for ‘The Burmese Python’ and the promotion that he has called home for the majority of his career. On May 5, ONE Championship will host its first ever event in the United States. Live from the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado, Aung La is just one of the many big names that will be competing on this historic card.

After losing both of his world championships to Reinier de Ridder, Aung La has been on the comeback trail, drawing on all of his experience to turn his career around and work his way back to the top.

At ONE Fight Night 10, he will look for his third consecutive victory when he takes on China’s Fan Rong.

In a recent interview with The MMA Superfan, Aung La N Sang spoke about the benefits of having high-level fight IQ, something he has in abundance:

“Fight IQ is very important. You can win fights because you have a higher fight IQ. It’s like one of those things that are very underrated. The fight IQ is very underrated. You get fight IQ from watching fights to experiencing it, and by cornering firsthand, you know?”

With a third consecutive win, Aung La will take a big step towards challenging for the ONE middleweight world championship that he previously held if he can beat Fan Rong.
