Aung La N Sang believes his experience in combat sports will prove to be a deciding factor when he returns to the circle on May 5 for a fight with Chinese standout Fan Rong.

‘The Burmese Python’ will be looking for a third-straight finish when he heads to the 1stBank Center in Colorado as part of a stacked ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video lineup. Meeting him in the circle will be ‘King Kong Warrior’ Fan Rong. A veteran with 14 career victories, Fan will be looking to get back in the win column after a third-round submission loss to former ONE world champion Vitaly Bigdash last time out.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Aung La N Sang was less than impressed with Fan’s work inside the circle and believes he will hold an advantage in both experience and skill set:

“With all due respect, I don’t think he has as much experience and as much, you know as much of a veteran in this sport as I am. Skill set wise, I think I match well against him, but you can’t underestimate, you know, and you can’t overestimate anybody in this game.”

Overall, the 29-year-old Fan Rong has a record of 14-3 with four fights under the ONE Championship banner. Needless to say, the 37-year-old Aung La will hold a distinct advantage in experience with more than 40 fights to his credit.
