Asian MMA legend Aung La N Sang will be back in action at ONE 163 on November 19. ‘The Burmese Python’ will be going up against another mixed martial arts icon, Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami.

Prior to signing on the dotted line to take on the Japanese superstar, there were rumors that Aung La was slated to take on ONE newcomer Roberto Soldic.

Having signed with ONE Championship after dominating the competition and capturing two world titles in Polish promotion KSW, Soldic was expected to take on a slew of potential opponents by ONE fans.

While a matchup against Aung La N Sang would certainly be an intriguing one, ‘The Burmese Python’ isn’t so sure that’s a fight Soldic wants.

Speaking to The MMA Super Fan, Aung La briefly discussed the rumored matchup and cast doubt as to whether it would ever happen:

“He fights at welterweight though, that’s a different weight class from me. I don’t know, I don’t know. I mean I don’t know if he wants to fight me.”

On December 3, Roberto Soldic will make his highly anticipated debut against undefeated Russian star Murad Ramazanov. 3-0 inside the circle and 11-0 overall, Ramazanov will attempt to spoil the debut of one of the biggest free agent signings of the last decade.

While the two warriors won’t be stepping inside the circle with one another, Aung La N Sang will be in the house on December 3 when ONE Championship returns to Manila.

On that night, Roberto Soldic will make his debut, but that’s not the only reason ‘The Burmese Python’ will be present.

“I am gonna be there for his fight in Manila because my boy Tial is fighting on the Manila card. He’s fighting against Jeremy, that’s a tough fight. I’ll be there for the fight.”

Aung La’s compatriot Tial ‘The Dragon Leg’ Thang will make his second appearance in 2022, taking on Team Lakay’s Jeremy ‘The Juggernaut’ Pacatiw. 11-5 in his professional career, Pacatiw will look to get back into the win column following a first-round knockout loss to Fabricio Andrade at ONE: Full Circle.

Myanmar native Tial Thang burst into the promotion, winning three straight before suffering a unanimous decision loss to Song Min Jong in August 2021. In his last outing at ONE: Bad Blood, Tial’s bout with Sunoto was deemed a no-contest following multiple accidental low blows.
