Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang is one of the hardest punchers the MMA world has ever seen. He doesn't just have all dynamite in his hands, however. 'The Burmese Python' also knows the proper technique and ring generalship to help him land his concussive blows.

In a recent Instagram video, we saw Aung La N Sang teaching ONE commentator Mitch Chilson how to land his trademark uppercut. As it turns out, it takes three punches to land the debilitating punch.

Here's the video:

Aung La, who fights Fan Rong at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5th, definitely has his own way of doing things. While conventional boxers like to land the uppercut with their thumbs facing them and their palms up, the Burmese MMA icon likes to land the uppercut with his fist sideways and his thump up.

This might be in large part due to the fingerless gloves MMA fighters use. Turning your fist sideways allows you to hit your opponent with the first two knuckles cleanly and with full force. Look to see 'The Burmese Python' try to land this on Fan Rong come ONE Fight Night 10 in front of a US audience.

Aung La N Sang famously stopped Ken Hasegawa with an uppercut in the greatest fight in ONE Championship history

At the end of the video with Mitch Chilson, you can see a short clip of Aung La N Sang knocking out his opponent with an uppercut in a fight. The clip was from Aung La's legendary bout with Japan's Ken Hasegawa back in 2018.

'The Burmese Python' made the first defense of his ONE middleweight world title in his home country of Myanmar. In front of a home crowd, Aung La was seen as a national hero and was expected to steamroll the relatively unknown Hasegawa.

The match, however, wasn't a one-sided beatdown but a classic 'War of Attrition'. The level of resilience, toughness, and courage Aung La and Hasegawa displayed that night was utterly inhuman.

By the fifth round, thunderous chants of 'Aung La!' seemingly came from the entire nation of Myanmar as both fighters were nearing their breaking points. Hasegawa was never fazed by the homecourt advantage and stood his ground like a violent invader.

With less than two minutes left in the fight, Aung La N Sang channeled the power of an entire nation and connected with his signature uppercut. Hasegawa fell nearly lifeless on the floor, signaling the end of arguably the greatest fight in ONE Championship history.
