Aung La N Sang is excited about the opportunity to compete in the United States for the first time in nearly a decade.

‘The Burmese Python’ will be part of the festivities when ONE Championship makes its highly anticipated debut in North America on May 5 with ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. The stacked lineup will feature the returns of fan favorites Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Stamp Fairtex.

Fans will also be treated to three ONE world title fights, including a trilogy bout between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and former world titleholder Adriano Moraes.

Before the flyweight greats step into the circle at the 1stBank Center in Colorado, Aung La N Sang will look for his third straight win when he meets Chinese striker Fan Rong. In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Aung La shared his excitement over being part of such a historic event for the promotion:

“I’m super excited man. It’s like, it’s almost 10 years since I fought in the States so I feel like I’ve made a name on the other side of the world and I’ve put in that work so I can’t wait to show the American fans what I’m capable of.”

‘The Burmese Python’ is coming off back-to-back first-round knockout wins against Japanese legend Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami and Brazilian Gilberto Galvao.

ONE Fight Night 10, just like all of ONE Championship’s Amazon cards, will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Aung La N Sang ready to fight his way back to the top of the middleweight division

As a former two-division ONE world champion, Aung La N Sang knows what it takes to make it to the top. Unfortunately, ‘The Burmese Python’ has seen some struggles in recent years, dropping three of his last six fights inside the circle, including losing both of his ONE world titles to ‘The Dutch Knight’ Reinier de Ridder.

However, in his last two appearances, Aung La N Sang looked like the world champion that fans around the world have come to know and love. After scoring two wins in a row, he knows that it’ll be a few more before he can find himself with a chance to challenge de Ridder for the ONE middleweight title again:

"I have really high-level grapplers at my disposal that I can work with. So it's not a matter of, ‘Can I do it?’ It's a matter of when. It's going to take time, I'm probably going to have to beat a few more guys. So it is what it is. I'm willing to climb back to the top."
