Fans are in for a fun night of action when two Asian MMA legends, Aung La N Sang and Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami are locked inside the circle at ONE 164 on November 19.
Aung La expects there to be fireworks when the two icons meet in a battle that has been a long time coming. In an interview with the South China Morning Post, ‘The Burmese Python’ feels that he is well prepared for the bout and expects it to be a highly-entertaining affair:
“Tune in, it's going to be a fun fight for the fans. We're going to find out who the best Asian middleweight is. I've prepared really well for it.
Not only will Aung La and Okami battle it out for bragging rights, but the two Asian stars are also in need of a win. ‘The Burmese Python’ has lost three of his last four bouts, including two straight losses to Reinier de Ridder, surrendering his ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world titles in the process.

Aung La N Sang offers to help another former two-division world champion
Though Aung La N Sang is in deep preparation for his showdown with Japanese MMA legend Yushin Okami, ‘The Burmese Python’ is offering a helping hand to another former two-division titleholder, Martin ‘The Situ-Asian’ Nguyen.
Like Aung La, Nguyen has lost three of his last four bouts. Most recently, Nguyen suffered a brutal first-round knockout loss to debuting Russian kickboxer Ilya Freymanov at ONE on Prime Video 2.
Following the loss, Aung La delivered a message to Nguyen, offering to help him get back to his winning ways:
“You need to come back and train. Come live here in my house and train. Just clamp down a little bit and train. It's part of the game, these young guys are hungry, and these young guys start at such a younger age that we're almost playing the catch-up game on our end.”
Aung La continued, saying:
“So I'm not saying that we can't do it, it's just that we got to put everything into it. So it would be good for him to come back and train and just be away from the family a little bit.”
