Aung La N Sang is interested in fighting at ONE on Prime Video 10.
On May 5, ONE Championship will make its North American debut. The historic event is taking place inside the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, with Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes III as the main event. Plenty of fighters have shown interest in competing on the fight card, and Aung La has thrown his name into the mix as well.
During an interview with SCMP MMA, ‘The Burmese Python’ had this to say about potentially fighting at ONE’s US debut event:
“That would be amazing, not having to do this 20-plus hour flight would be amazing. If I do compete in Denver, it would be exciting and I’ll prepare very well for it for sure.”

Aung La’s ability to fight in May could be jeopardized by any potential injuries at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. ‘The Burmese Python’ is looking for his second consecutive win in a catchweight showdown against Gilberto Galvao. Regardless of the outcome, the 37-year-old seems determined to fight in North America, where he lives and trains.
Aung La N Sang is not focused on fighting for another world title
Aung La N Sang achieved the rare feat of becoming a two-division MMA world champion in ONE Championship. Although ‘The Burmese Python’ is confident in his ability to win another world title, it’s not his primary focus. He had this to say during the same interview with SCMP MMA:
“I’m sure De Ridder’s gonna need some time off, so it’s okay. I wanna stay active. I wanna keep improving as a mixed martial artist, fill in some of my holes. And just keep being a better mixed martial artist and also just keep putting on exciting shows for the fans. That to me is very important. I wanna see exciting bouts…as a fan I wanna put on great shows for the fans as well.”
Aung La N Sang has experienced the highs and lows of MMA, but he’s not done yet. The 37-year-old has won two of his last three fights with an opportunity to make a statement at ONE Fight Night 6. With a win against Gilberto Galvao, ‘The Burmese Python’ could find himself in the discussion for another world title fight.
