Reece McLaren would love to see ONE Championship put on an event in Australia.
In recent years, ONE Championship has begun to venture out of Asia, including a pair of critically acclaimed and highly successful events in the United States. ONE also ventured to the Middle East for the first time in 2024, making its debut in Qatar.
But if you ask 'Lightning' where he'd like to see ONE Championship bring its world-class production to, it would obviously have to be his home country.
"Think Melbourne. Melbourne seems to be a very sporting state, very sporting community down there, and big arenas to fill," McLaren told Sportskeeda MMA. "I think ONE could definitely break some sort of MMA crowd record, for sure."

Perhaps one day we could see McLaren compete for a ONE world championship in his home country. But if he hopes to ever make that dream a reality, he'll have to get through a tough test in his return to the ring at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.

McLaren vs. Brooks will be a flyweight MMA bout, marking the first time Brooks has ever moved up a weight class under the ONE Championship banner.
Meanwhile, 'Lightning' will be making his 17th appearance for the promotion and will be desperately looking for a win as he eyes a potential shot at the currently vacant ONE flyweight MMA world title.
McLaren enters the bout with Brooks fresh off a razor-close split decision victory over Hu Yong at ONE Fight Night 22. The victory moved him to 3-1 in his last four and scored him his 10th career win in ONE.
