The 21-year-old American phenom displayed a well-rounded performance with his much-improved striking and superior grappling to end their match in just 64 seconds via a D'Arce choke finish.
This outstanding showing from the Atos representative has left fans in awe, especially users @the_machine_method, @mg_74757, and @exotic_parallel_universe, positively reacted to the win through their comments:
"This young man is a MONSTER! Obviously, he can strangle anybody. Now, he's cracking heads with technical striking to a flawless transition into a darce choke. Made it look easy too! Congratulations! Awesomeness in action!"
"Kade has a potential to be an all time great in MMA if he continues at this rate. He's super athletic and explosive, and his bjj game is based on takedowns and movements. Hopefully his striking will continue to improve though he's already off to a pretty darn good start."
"Opponents probably not keeping their guard ip against strikes like they normally do because they're so worried about his grappling. Kade grabs a hold of you, and it's almost certain you get submitted."
Kade Ruotolo claims that his team helps him build confidence in MMA transition
In his post-event interview, the BJJ black belt revealed that his coaches and twin brother, Tye, has helped him make a smooth transition to MMA.
Kade explained:
"First of all, props to God, as well as my coaches, I really wouldn't have been able to do this without my coaches, Tyler Wombles, Eric Paulson, and my brother. They're giving me so much confidence on the feet, and changing me as a fighter every single day."
