Ayaka Miura seeks advice from upcoming opponent Danielle Kelly's former foe

Ayaka Miura is seeking advice from a great source to defeat American grappling star Danielle Kelly. She is getting tips from a former opponent of Kelly who grappled with her to a draw inside the ONE circle.

Danielle Kelly made her ONE Championship debut at ONE X against Japanese MMA veteran Mei Yamaguchi. The two athletes exchanged positions and grappled to a draw.

'Zombie' Ayaka Miura will next face Danielle Kelly in a strawweight submission grappling match at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24. It will be broadcast live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. To help her get prepared, Japanese Judo specialist Miura spoke with Mei Yamaguchi to help earn her an advantage. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Miura explained:

"I spoke to Mei-san [Yamaguchi] and she shared with me her experience in the fight with Kelly."

Ayaka Miura is an MMA fighter who is a submission specialist with dangerous skills on the mat. Her extensive background in Judo has allowed her to win all of her ONE matches by way of submission stoppage. She even competed for a world title in 2022.

“It’s simple - ONE Championship offered this match so I decided to accept. I wanted to stay active.”
