Mikey Musumeci's days off aren't spent resting.

The ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion is deep into his preparation for his world title challenge against Kade Ruotolo, but that didn't stop him from hitting pads during his rest day.

In an Instagram Story, Musumeci revealed he did some Muay Thai training while taking a break from his training camp for ONE 168: Denver.

"Rest day = fun Muay Thai in garage day 😅😍 I have been doing Muay Thai on my rest days! So much fun 😭 back to grappling tomorrow!"

Musumeci is heading into arguably the biggest fight of his career when he faces Ruotolo for the ONE lightweight submission grappling world title at ONE 168 on September 6 at Ball Arena.

'Darth Rigatoni' has a chance to become the first two-division submission grappling world champion in ONE Championship, and extend his perfect promotional record to 8-0.

Ruotolo, however, won't be letting Musumeci get to his throne that easily.

The 21-year-old has an identical 7-0 record to Musumeci's, but one of his matches came under MMA rules.

The ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion recently made his MMA debut and submitted American brawler Blake Cooper in the first round of their matchup at ONE 167.

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available at Ticketmaster.

Tye Ruotolo has high expectations for Mikey Musumeci and Kade Ruotolo's Denver superfight

Superfights often hold a certain magnitude, and the one between Mikey Musumeci and Kade Ruotolo is a prime example.

Tye Ruotolo, the ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion, said the world title match between his twin brother and Musumeci has the capacity to elevate Brazilian jiu-jitsu to another level.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Tye said:

"It's going to be epic. I'm so excited to see that. Mikey is such a beast, so technical, and so is my brother. So for sure, it's going to be good for jiu-jitsu. It's the most exciting guys. Yeah, it will be epic."
