Fabricio Andrade is not too keen on having a second meeting with former tormentor Jonathan Haggerty to challenge him for his ONE bantamweight kickboxing gold.
Instead, 'Wonder Boy' is putting sole focus on his main duty as the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion in the promotion.
Andrade doubled down on this idea in his recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, where he also said that the rematch with 'The General' will always be there for him:
"Right now, I prefer to stick to MMA, you know. The rematch against Jonathan Hagerty is something that's there, but my focus is on MMA for now."

'Wonder Boy' tried to become a two-sport world champion when he fought the British superstar for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title in November 2023 at ONE Fight Night 16. However, he suffered a second-round knockout loss.
Now, the Brazilian knockout menace will return to the MMA ruleset to defend his 26 pounds of gold against South Korean rival and No. 3-ranked Kwon Won Il.
Their scheduled five-round war will be one of three world title fights on Jan. 24 at ONE 170, which will occur inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fabricio Andrade identifies the values that separates him from the rest of the bantamweights
In the same interview, before his rematch with 'Pretty Boy', Fabricio Andrade pointed out the attributes that keep him heads and shoulders above the chasing pack in the talent-jammed bantamweight MMA roster.
According to him, these qualities will not only keep his lead over other challengers but also aid him in constantly sharpening his skills:
"You know, I think what really sets me apart from the rest of the guys in my division is my determination, skill set, and confidence. I think this has helped me become the very best in the bantamweight category. And I'm sure it will continue to help me progress and evolve."
