Fabricio Andrade wants the absolute best arsenal when he defends his throne.

The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion will defend his gold against familiar foe Kwon Won Il at the stacked ONE 170 event on Jan. 24, 2025, at Impact Arena.

Taking to Instagram, Andrade shared a glimpse of his training camp and revealed that he's added more emphasis on his grappling game ahead of his Bangkok showdown against Kwon.

Andrade said his current wrestling regimen at Tiger Muay Thai has been one of the toughest in his career, but he knows the grind would ultimately pay off when he steps inside the circle.

"In the afternoon, I rest a little bit then I come to do this wrestling session. Wrestling has been one of the hardest training [experiences] that I have experienced when I changed to MMA."

Fabricio Andrade added:

"Training with so many of the top fighters from Russia and Kazakhstan, they are top wrestlers, so we have a very high level of wrestling here at Tiger."

Andrade is a natural striker and used his kickboxing background to smoothly transition to the world of MMA.

The Brazilian superstar holds a perfect 6-0 record (1 no contest) in his MMA matches in ONE Championship, with four of his victories coming via knockout.

One of those knockouts was a surgical body shot finish of Kwon when they first squared off at ONE 158 in Singapore.

Andrade now looks to reassert his dominance over Kwon, while the South Korean tries to even the score and claim the bantamweight MMA throne.

Fabricio Andrade says he'll unleash a newer version of himself when he defends his throne against Kwon Won Il

Kwon Won Il won't be facing the old version of Fabricio Andrade when they meet for a second time inside the ONE Championship circle.

Andrade said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA that he'll be a better and more refined version of himself in his world title rematch against Kwon at ONE 170 in Bangkok:

"A new and better version for sure. So I think I’m a different version than I was one or two years ago."
