Garcia and Imanari are true pioneers of 'The Gentle Art' and are credited for innovative techniques that are still being used by the new wave of grapplers in the modern era.
'Marcelinho', of course, is considered the greatest BJJ competitor of all time. The 41-year-old Brazilian icon is a five-time IBJJF world champion and a four-time ADCC World Champion.
Garcia rose to global prominence when he took out opponents much bigger than him using his signature butterfly guard, arm drags, and guillotine chokes to showcase the beauty of BJJ at its essence.
Imanari, on the other hand, is the creator of arguably the most popular leg-lock entry in jiu-jitsu, the 'Imanari roll'.
'Ashikan-Judan', which translates to 'The Great Master of Leg Submissions' is as fearsome as his moniker suggests.
The 48-year-old Japanese warrior has been a mainstay in ONE's MMA and grappling ranks. One thing's for sure, greatness is guaranteed when these two BJJ trailblazers share the circle.
