“Battle of the Johans ⚔️ Can Johan Estupinan keep his perfect record alive, or will Johan Ghazali end his streak at ONE 170?”
Johan Estupinan, 22, will be making his fifth promotional appearance at ONE 170 after securing a quartet of wins over Kouta Omori, Zafer Sayik, Sean Climaco, and Zakaria El Jamari. Overall, 'Panda Kick' has an undefeated record of 26-0 and brings with him a 75% finish rate inside the Circle.
With a win over Johan Ghazali, Estupinan could establish himself as a legitimate contender in the talent-rich flyweight Muay Thai division.
Can Johan Ghazali take Johan Estupinan's 'O' at ONE 170?
Of course, getting a win over Johan Ghazali has proven to be no easy task. Thus far, only one fighter has been able to do it — Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat — who outworked 'Jojo' at ONE 167 in June.
Ghazali took the loss as a learning experience and quickly bounced back three months later, scoring a first-round knockout against Josue Cruz in his return to the Circle at ONE 168 in Denver.
'Jojo' is 6-1 in ONE with an 83% finish rate and 25 career victories overall.
Who comes out on top when two of ONE Championship's most exciting prospects — who both just happen to be named Johan — square off at one of the most anticipated combat sports events of the new year?
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II will air live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Jan. 24 in U.S. primetime.
