Jarred Brooks hopes that when all is said and done, he can leave a lasting impact through what he achieved in his career.

At 31 years old, he still has plenty of miles left in the tank but the American has never been one to keep quiet about his goals and motivation.

Brooks' family comes first and providing for them is always the main focus but he's always had lofty expectations for himself.

'The Monkey God' isn't here to simply compete, he wants to become an inspiration and role model for others who cross paths with his career.

He spoke in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA about how he hopes to drive others toward success by continuing to perform at the highest level:

"I want to be an outstanding fighter to where kids can look up to me. And I just don't want them to just know me like, 'Oh this is Jarred Brooks.' I want them to act now, and I want them to chase their goals and be inspired by me all the time."

Jarred Brooks looks to reclaim a part of the throne

Jarred Brooks found himself in a tough spot after his last outing at ONE 166 earlier this year.

After spiking Joshua Pacio on his head in their rematch, which he strongly claims was unintentional, he was stripped of his strawweight MMA title after being disqualified.

With Pacio unable to meet him in a huge trilogy fight for the time being due to a substantial injury, an interim title will be on the line in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24.

Brooks is set to face fellow top strawweight and grappling specialist Gustavo Balart on August 2 at Lumpinee Stadium.

His latest setback may have been a difficult outcome to take but it's all part of Brooks' story which he hopes will inspire others to strive for greatness just like he does.

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in US Primetime, free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
