A former UFC star recently made the decision to publicly apologize to Japanese people for his past comments. He noted that the apology came in light of Naoya Inoue's incredible performances in the ring.

'The Monster' has certainly become a fighter that has gotten on the combat sports community's radar, especially considering his entertaining fighting style and unbeaten 27-0 professional record. The Japanese star has won a championship in four different weight-divisions, which is very impressive as well as achieving undisputed champion status at bantamweight and super bantamweight.

Former UFC star Kevin Lee took to his X account to publicly apologize for his past comments and heaped praise on 'The Monster'. Lee, who was once a highly touted lightweight prospect, mentioned that after training with several Japanese fighters and watching Inoue closely, he has changed his perspective. He wrote:

"I used to say a lot of dumb stuff. Like Japanese people couldn't fight. I train with some now and been studying Naoya Inoue now I gotta apologize to a whole country."

Former UFC star Kevin Lee discloses what it would take for him to take Paddy Pimblett seriously

In addition to apologizing to Japanese people for his past comments, former UFC star Kevin Lee disclosed what it would take for him to take Paddy Pimblett seriously in a talented lightweight division.

'The Baddy' has been on an impressive run as of late and is unbeaten since joining the promotion. After a controversial unanimous decision win over Jared Gordon, Pimblett has gone on to defeat Tony Ferguson and King Green. Following his submission win over Green, the Englishman was inserted into the top-15 rankings for the first time.

'The Motown Phenom' took to his X account and tweeted that he will change his view on whether Pimblett is a true contender at 155 pounds if he can get past Beneil Dariush next, which was. Lee wrote:

"Great fight. If Paddy can beat Beneil, he's legit"
