MMA fans recently expressed their opinions on a collection of Alex Pereira's old snaps. It's pertinent to note that they were clicked way before he entered the UFC.

UFC champions like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Valentina Shevchenko got into martial arts right from their childhood due to proper guidance from their parents. However, Pereira's story is a lot different. After his older brother's death, 'Poatan' had to start working at a tire repair shop to support his family. During this time, Pereira also got addicted to alcohol and started drinking daily. There were days when he even drank a liter of alcohol.

Pereira joined kickboxing to stay away from alcohol. His success in it made him dedicate more energy to the sport. His dedication eventually made him a two-division champion in Glory Kickboxing, after which he moved into MMA and entered the UFC.

A recent post on X from @DovySimuMMA showcased a few snaps of Pereira from his pre-UFC era. He looked significantly different from his current appearance in most of them.

The comments section showcased that the fans found Pereira's pre-UFC era snaps amusing. One such comment read:

Alex Pereira's photographer played a prank that could have turned dangerous

Currently, Alex Pereira is enjoying his free time in Korea. The current UFC light heavyweight champ is attending various public gatherings and meeting up with his Korean fans.

Amidst one of those sessions, Pereira's photographer asked him to strike a cool pose for a snap with his middle finger up. Pereira posed and checked the shot after which the photographer showed him the middle finger.

The current UFC light heavyweight champ smirked at the photographer's gesture. But it's quite apparent that he would've ended up in a terrible condition if Pereira took his joke personally.
