At ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman will step into the circle for the biggest fight of his career so far. In a potential bantamweight title eliminator, Loman will face former two-time bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes, who dominated the division during his two world title reigns.
Whilst Fernandes will be a big step-up in competition for Loman, he believes that he has certain attributes that give him an edge over the former champion. With a 12-year age difference between the two highly-ranked bantamweights, Stephen Loman believes that he has the physical advantage in the fight.
In an interview with The MMA Super-Fan, ‘The Sniper’ gave his analysis of the matchup:
“Well I think the age difference between Bibiano and I will play a factor. He’s going up in age and people often say that as you grow older, you also get a bit slower and weaker. So I think that me being younger than him will be an advantage.”

He added:
“My advantage has to be my speed, my movement, and of course my defense. Those are the three things that I think I’m better at than Bibiano."

Despite Bibiano Fernandes being at the age of 42, he proved in his last fight against John Lineker that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Though he went on to lose the fight, Fernandes’ toughness kept him in it for a lot longer than many would have predicted.

Rising bantamweight contender ‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman has hit the ground running since signing for ONE Championship. He likely now finds himself one fight away from a title shot.
In his debut with the promotion last year in December, Loman announced his arrival in the division with a first-round KO of Russian grappler Yusup Saadulaev. In case you missed it first-time around, ONE Championship reposted the video ahead of Loman's return to the circle at ONE on Prime Video 4.
The No.5-ranked bantamweight contender will be attempting to improve his run in ONE Championship to 3-0, but this next challenge will be his biggest by far. Facing former two-time bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes, Stephen Loman will hope to solidify his place as the next person in line for a world title shot if he is successful on November 19.
‘The Sniper’ will take on the No.1-ranked bantamweight contender at ONE on Prime Video 4, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
