Belal Muhammad put on an impressive display at UFC 280 two months ago. He is currently angling for a fight against Khamzat Chimaev or Leon Edwards for the upcoming pay-per-view in London next year.
'Remember the Name' has become more vocal over the past couple of years, pushing for a title shot, something he believes he deserves through recent performances. In his last outing, the grappler showcased his much-improved striking by earning a TKO win over the previously undefeated Sean Brady.
During a recent interview, Belal Muhammad named Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards as the two fighters he wants to face next. He insisted that he'll be at UFC 286 in London no matter what:
"Chimaev is still trying to figure out how to lose weight, get down to 170, I don't think he's gonna figure that out. So I think the only thing that really makes sense now is me against Leon for the title, otherwise, you can put me and Chimaev on the same card in London. I'll fight him at 179.8 or whatever he came at [for his fight against Kevin Holland earlier this year] and then we can do that for a number one contender fight... Yeah, I'm gonna be there [in London], wherever the title is, that's where I want to be." [2:14 mark]

Following months of speculation, UFC 286 will take place at the O2 Arena as opposed to one of the many soccer stadiums that the Brits were hoping for. Dana White was looking into the opportunity to host the event in Cardiff, Wales, in an arena that often hosts concerts and has a roof for the often poor UK weather.
Check out what Belal Muhammad has to say about his next ideal opponent in the video below.
What's next for Khamzat Chimaev?
In his most recent outing, Khamzat Chimaev missed weight by a large margin. He was criticized despite making short work of the dangerous Kevin Holland in their catchweight bout at UFC 279.
Initially, it looked like the promotion was trying to book 'Borz' against Colby Covington. However, 'Chaos' has been uncharacteristically quiet since being dragged into legal issues with Jorge Masvidal earlier this year.
The Swede is desperate to fight for a UFC title and will likely find himself in contention if he earns another victory in his next outing. Belal Muhammad and Paulo Costa among the fighters have called the unbeaten star out.
