Belal Muhammad goes off on Shavkat Rakhmonov sharing injury news after beating Ian Machado Garry

Belal Muhammad seems less than impressed with Shavkat Rakhmonov and his team after they released injury information about the Kazakh fighter following UFC 310. In the co-main event, Rakhmonov faced off against Ian Machado Garry in a welterweight title eliminator.

Rakhmonov entered the fight 18-0, with 18 finishes, and he extended his undefeated record after winning via unanimous decision. However, several pundits noted that he looked sub-par when compared to his previous performances.

It was then revealed by UFC commentator Daniel Cormier that, according to Rakhmonov's team, he had suffered a torn MCL in preparation for his bout with Machado Garry.

The welterweight champion recently discussed the injury reports during an episode of Remember The Show, hosted by Muhammad and Jason Anik, brother of UFC commentator Jon Anik.

'Remember the Name' said this:

"When he doesn't look unstoppable or untouchable, that's when they say he had an injury. I hate when guys come off with excuses after a win... You did what you had to do to win the fight, you don't have to give excuses about why it wasn't a finish... So don't come up with an excuse or disrespect [your opponent] like that."

Belal Muhammad backed to beat Shavkat Rakhmonov with ease by Renato Moicano

Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov are expected to clash for the welterweight title in 2025 following the Kazakh fighter's victory over Ian Machado Garry at UFC 310.

With Rakhmonov yet to taste defeat as a professional MMA fighter, there is an underlying feeling that it is only a matter of time before he becomes UFC champion. But according to surging lightweight contender Renato Moicano, 'Remember The Name' will be the first man to defeat the upcoming title challenger.

Moicano was recently interviewed by Ariel Helwani, where he broke down the potential welterweight title fight between Muhammad and Rakhmonov, saying this:

"My money is on Belal Muhammad... I think Shavkat is not the boogeyman like they said. I think Belal will make it look easy... Who is the best fighter that [Garry and Rakhomonv] have faced? Probably Geoff Neal, they both fought Geoff Neal... [Rakhmonov] looked good because he finished all his fights. But Belal is good at what he does."
