UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad has no qualms about what would happen if he were to face former middleweight champion Sean Strickland and is glad to share how he sees it transpiring.

Replying to a tweet, Muhammad detailed how 'Tarzan's hilarious antics would fail against him in the cage:

"He would throw 95 teeps at me every round then wait till 6 seconds left in the fight and start throwing jumping teeps and yelling like he’s wild"

The witty response seems fitting to how Strickland fights, as 'Tarzan' has finished only two of his last 13 opponents. The 33-year-old has been criticized for his limited arsenal and predictable stance management. However, the Xtreme Couture disciple is notorious for his relentless drive and pressure, which has helped him scale the division, emerging triumphantly with the title in September 2023.

Strickland's recent win over Paulo Costa only emboldened his critics, as the pair went five rounds without inflicting significant damage on each other.

When Sean Strickland slammed Belal Muhammad for his support of Palestine

Sean Strickland scathingly criticized Belal Muhammad for his support of Palestine amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. 'Remember the Name' was born in the United States but is the child of Palestinian immigrants, and thus Muhammad has been an ardent supporter of the Palestinian cause and has always called for peace in the war-torn region.

When the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a full-scale attack on the Gaza Strip back in October 2023, following a terrorist attack on Israeli land by the Hamas group, Muhammad offered his prayers for the people stuck in the war zone. However, this seemingly harmless call for peace didn't sit well with 'Tarzan', who's befriended controversy like no other fighter on the roster.

Strickland went on a tirade, calling the 36-year-old out for his allegedly undiplomatically alarmist take on a sensitive topic:

"This is what you'd call a coward response. Instead of taking a stand against terrorism and advocating for a peaceful resolution you say this dumb sh*t... Ignoring what just happened. Belal you were born in America, you live in America just shut the f*ck up."

Although the pair continue to go back and forth online, it's unlikely the two will meet in the center of the octagon as Muhammad is the newly crowned welterweight king with a slew of contenders to defend against.

Meanwhile, Sean Strickland has put himself back in the 185-pound title picture after securing a split decision win against Paulo Costa in June 2024.
