Belal Muhammad is passionately against Sean Strickland getting the next UFC middleweight title shot. Within hours of saying 'Tarzan' does not deserve the fight over any of the other top-five fighters in the division, Muhammad went on another social media streak.
Responding to a fan defending Strickland, 'Remember the Name' said he watched the UFC 297 main event "15 times" and believes Dricus du Plessis rightfully won the middleweight title every time he watched it. Muhammad said he believes fans get "distracted" by Strickland's pre-fight trash talk by using "words like kill and murder."
Muhammad tweeted:
"Don't get distracted because Sean says words like 'kill and murder'... he sucks. I watched that fight 15 times and he lost every time."

While Du Plessis won the title at UFC 297 by split decision, the result was highly disputed by fans on social media. Strickland opposed the decision and mentioned after his win over Paulo Costa at UFC 302 that he would wait for a rematch with Du Plessis no matter how long it took.
'Still Knocks' subsequently defended his belt against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 and is expected to rematch Strickland in his next fight but has nothing confirmed.
Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland's rivalry
Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland do not compete in the same weight class and have never been in serious discussions about fighting each other but continue to disagree with one another on social media. With clashing personalities, Muhammad explained that their issues are based on politics.
Muhammad said in an interview in early 2024 that the issue began several years ago when Strickland commented on one of his Instagram posts about Palestine. The 36-year-old claimed 'Tarzan' commented that Palestinians "need to give up" beneath his post raising awareness of the country's grim situation.
Since then, Belal Muhammad and Strickland have butt heads on multiple occasions on both Instagram and X. They still are not likely to ever meet in the Octagon but seem to never agree on any singular topic.
