UFC welterweight world title challenger Belal Muhammad had quite an interesting interaction with fans ahead of UFC 304 in Manchester this weekend. During the pre-fight press conference, a group of kids were flipping the bird at Muhammad from the crowd.

Quite an interesting interaction. One can feel Muhammad's disappointment at seeing kids flipping the bird at him. He advocates the safety and rescue of Palestinian kids in the recent Israel-Palestine war, bringing children to America to seek asylum.

Belal Muhammad admits to not wanting to fight Islam Makhachev

On Saturday, Muhammad will face Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight strap in a rematch of their No-Contest bout back in 2021. If and when he wins, this will open up a lot of potential match-ups for the Palestinian-American fighter. One possible super fight on the horizon is UFC lightweight champ Islam Makhachev, who has expressed interest in moving up to welterweight in the future.

During his UFC 304 media scrum, however, Belal Muhammad shot down possibilities of him locking horns with the Dagestani world champion, saying:

"I would never fight Islam [Makhachev], he's my brother. So I think for myself maybe there's two or three guys that are next in line after this fight...and then I have a chance to move up to middleweight...I think he's [Makhachev] still got some fighters to fight, I still got some fighters to fight and then, we both could move up."

A move to middleweight as a world champion to challenge the 185-king is an interesting prospect for Muhammad, should he win the 170-pound strap this weekend.
