Belal Muhammad slams Sean Strickland for labeling America "country of Christ" in anti-Islam rant 

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is one of the best fighters alive today and one of the most politically outspoken athletes on social media. Like in his fights, 'Tarzan' doesn't pull punches on X and is more than willing to take it to the chin from detractors too.

In one of his most recent X posts, Strickland made some controversial statements on religion in America, saying:

"America is a country of Christ. You could be Christian, catholic, atheist BUT our core values is that of Christ. I have nothing against Islam or Muslims...BUT!!!!!!!! Islam should stay in Islamic countries. Although you would all benefit from Christ. I'm agnostic"

UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, a proud Muslim in America, replied to the post. Taking a page off of Strickland's playbook, 'Remember The Name' went below the belt and brought up the UFC middleweight's painful history of child abuse, saying:

"Wasn’t this the guy crying because his Christian American dad used to touch him"

Sean Strickland continues to rant about Islam on X

Unsurprisingly, Sean Strickland's post received strong reactions from X users across all demographics. Talking so liberally about his opinions on the second-most-practiced religion in the world, he's bound to get some major backlash.

Still, 'Tarzan' stood his ground as he always does on X. He even leaned more on his criticisms of Islam and tweeted some more, saying:

"Sean 'have you read the quran'. I've read the highlights. R*pe. m*rder.t*rture.war. jihad. stoning...quran 4:24...Mohammed "infidelity is wrong, unless it's your female slave, r*pe her all you want" Not f*cking compatible with America......."

Interestingly, X user @LAFadhel pointed out inconsistencies in Strickland's assessment of Islam. He said that the UFC middleweight grossly misunderstood the scripture.

Adding a screenshot of the Quran's words, @LAFadhel said:

"Why lie? What do you have to gain from this? The misunderstanding of the Quran, the concept of Presentism being applied among a slew of other issues. You should educate yourself. May God bless with the correct path and knowledge."
