Danielle Kelly is no stranger to being counted out throughout her career and she has always used this as fuel and motivation.

The 28-year-old loves to prove people wrong by earning her success through sheer hard work and dedication to her craft.

That's exactly what she will look to do once again when she returns at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 for one of the biggest contests of her career.

At ONE Fight Night 24, Kelly suffered her first loss under the ONE banner, losing the ONE atomweight submission grappling world championship to Mayssa Bastos via a decision.

The former champion was able to draw comparisons from this match-up to her clash with Jessa Khan which she won to become the inaugural champion at ONE Fight Night 14 last year.

In a recent interview on the JitsCast, Kelly spoke about how this win has given her the drive that she needs ahead of Dec. 6 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:

"I think my win, it just proves that when you put in the hard work and you just believe in yourself, anything can happen. So that's kind of what I'm going in with that mindset in this rematch, even the first match with Mayssa because they trained at the same school."

Danielle Kelly broke through in this moment

Danielle Kelly has always known that she is a world champion caliber but in her clash with Jessa Khan, she proved it by defeating a world-class opponent.

Keeping the confidence she gained from this match-up in mind is so important for her against Bastos.

The former world champion cannot afford to doubt herself after what happened in her first meeting with the Brazilian in August.

Upsetting the odds is what she does best and that's no different for Dec. 6.
