The Democrats were recently criticized by Bernie Sanders for their position on Joe Rogan. Sanders claimed that political leaders should make an appearance on Rogan's podcast and engage in meaningful conversation with him in spite of all the disagreements.
In a recent interview with CNN, Sanders was asked about the criticism he received five years ago for attending Rogan's podcast The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), where he earned the UFC commentator's backing. In response, the 83-year-old said:
''Look, you’re going to have an argument with Rogan, agree with him, disagree with him. But, what’s the problem with going on those shows? It’s hard for me to understand that. So I think we've got to get it. And clearly, you have an alternative media out there, a lot of podcasts that have millions and millions of viewers get on the show, disagree with you here. I agree with you. I don't see a problem in doing that.''

Notably, prior to winning the presidential election earlier this month, Republican candidate Donald Trump made an appearance on Rogan's podcast, where they discussed a variety of topics and eventually got the 57-year-old's endorsement.
The UFC commentator recently advised Trump to bring everyone together for progress for the nation rather than pursuing his personal grudge. He also hosted Elon Musk, who expressed his support for Trump.
Following Harris' defeat in the elections, many of the Democrats were left wondering what went wrong. Some speculated that the 60-year-old's decision not to attend Rogan's podcast was one of the reasons.
Joe Rogan talks about Kamala Harris not appearing on his podcast
There were several reports circulating concerning Kamala Harris' appearance on JRE . However, this did not materialize, and Joe Rogan disclosed on one of his podcast episodes that Harris was unable to attend due to her busy campaign schedule.
In Friday's episode of his podcast, Rogan spoke out about the restrictions imposed by Harris' representatives on her attendance.
''There were a few restrictions of things they didn’t want to talk about, but I said, ‘I don’t give a f**ck, get her in here.’ Like, whatever you want to talk about...I bet there’s a person in there. I bet I can get to that person," Rogan said. "I would love to talk to her about all kinds of sh*t.''
