Ryan Garcia put in arguably the most impressive performance of his career to-date on April 20, 2024 when he took on longtime rival, Devin Haney. Although Garcia was at the center of a lot of controversy outside the ring, he put on a dominant performance and thoroughly outclassed Haney to take home the decision win.
With many doubting him due to his social media antics and Haney looking like a worldbeater heading into the bout, Garcia wasn't expected to win. He went into the fight a betting underdog, but on fight night, he scored multiple knockdowns and hurting Haney badly through the bout.
Following the fight, Garcia has taken to Instagram to reveal that he had placed a large bet on himself, and that the payout is well worth it. First, he shared a post in which the caption read:
"If you bet, BET ON YOURSELF on top of what we made. EATING GOOD 🍽️About 50 million ( probably more) in one night not too shabby I will let God guide me on how to use this money Amen"

Ryan Garcia says Devin Haney fight "should've been stopped" in the 7th round
Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney went the distance in their April 20th clash, but 'KingRy' believes that the referee made an error by not calling a halt to the contest in the seventh round.
Officially, Garcia scored three knockdowns in the fight - the first of which came in the seventh round. However, it looked like he sent Haney to the canvas on at least one more instance in the same round, but the referee did not rule it a knockdown.
Reacting to the bout on X, 'KingRy' wrote:
"Woke up sad thinking people should’ve got that Ko bet Ref that 7th round should’ve been stopped Point deduction wasn’t warranted, never received a warning Crazy man
