Since the official announcement of the champion-versus-champion clash between Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver, anticipation has been at an all-time high.
Now that the fight is inching closer, the excitement of the combat sports community continues to rise. In a recent video shared by ONE Championship on Instagram, they asked for the insight of reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, and they captioned the post:
"Statement made by Rodtang 👊 Who are you rooting for in this fight between Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek at ONE 168: Denver? @rodtang_jitmungnon, @superlek789 @jhaggerty_"

'The Iron Man' is the only fighter to have fought both world titleholders. Although picking a winner was tough, Rodtang eventually sided with his compatriot, ONEN flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek, to get the job done against 'The General.'
But fans are still having a hard time picking the athlete that they will root for because users @chefhanszahner, @benhunt.02, @futurodocombate42, @manni.singh380, and @pacmanito are still undecided as they commented:
"Will be the best fight of the year 🔥🔥"
"This is like watching mum and dad fight. I love them both and I don't want either to lose"
"Gonna be a cracking fight. 🙌"
"Can't wait! Superstars of ONE! Going to be a mad fight!"
"I just want 5 round of war"
Jonathan Haggerty is looking to replicate the aggression of Takeru Segawa against Superlek
During Superlek's world title defense against Takeru Segawa in January 2024 at ONE 165, the Thai megastar was troubled by the Japanese barrage of punches and stunned by them.
Haggerty, the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, is looking to replicate and double down on this exact blueprint because, according to him, it exposed the holes in Superlek's defense, especially in his body.
ONE 168: Denver will take place at the Ball Arena on Sept. 6, during primetime in the U.S. Tickets for the event are available at Ticketmaster.
