The intense striking war between ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 last month has left fans clamoring for more.

The two Thai superstars made their highly anticipated return to the stage on September 22 at ONE Friday Fights 34 in Bangkok, Thailand, in an attempt to settle the debate over who is the No. 1 Muay Thai striker in the world.

Although Rodtang and Superlek fought at a catchweight, the bout nevertheless gave fans the feel of a world title fight. Both warriors delivered violence right from the onset.

Superlek unsurprisingly gauged distance well by extending his arms out to land his best shots and prevent Rodtang from executing some of his own.

Rodtang experienced a rough start, but would later find his footing at the end of the round and into the second. ‘The Iron Man’ found success within the clinch, redirecting the fight right back into his reach with elbows, punches, and kicks.

After a very closely contested battle, you couldn’t have predicted what was going to happen next. Due to Superlek’s lone knockdown of Rodtang in the second round, ‘The Kicking Machine’ edged the victory by unanimous decision.

Longtime fans of both Rodtang and Superlek have always predicted a fast-paced showdown between the two. Knowing that they’ll never be disappointed again, the fans want an immediate rematch booked within the next coming months.
