ONE on Prime Video 4 features a huge match-up in the bantamweight division between Bibiano Fernandes and Stephen Loman. As the bantamweight title lies vacant, the winner of this fight could set themselves up to compete for the belt in their next fight.

‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman comes into the fight after building some serious momentum since debuting in ONE Championship. He’ll face the biggest test of his career to date when taking on the former champion who dominated the division during his reign.

For Bibiano Fernandes, this fight is a must-win if he is to keep his place at the top of the division and not let the younger contenders pass him by. After losing his world championship earlier this year, ‘The Flash’ has a point to prove.

Despite both fighters having distinct fighting styles, Loman and Fernandes are both confident that they can compete with their opponent at what they do best.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Bibiano Fernandes spoke about Loman’s striking and his own improvements:

“My striking has evolved a lot. He has a very good striking game, he has a dangerous left hand, he works well with his right hand hooks, and his straight with his left hand. I understand his game. He’s a dangerous guy, and he moves a lot.”

Stephen Loman knows Bibiano Fernandes will take fight to the ground but he’s "ready for it"

Ahead of the biggest fight of his career to date, Stephen Loman is confident that he is prepared for anything his opponent can throw at him. At ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Sniper’ will take on former bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes.

Stephen Loman has emerged as one of the most exciting rising contenders in ONE Championship but on November 18 (US primetime), he will have to raise his game once again.

Bibiano Fernandes has a point to prove after losing his bantamweight championship to John Lineker earlier this year, a title reign that produced one of the best win streaks seen in ONE Championship.

Fernandes’ bantamweight supremacy was built off of his grappling abilities, an aspect of his skillset that Stephen Loman is very aware of.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, the Team Lakay fighter referenced the game plan of the former champion:

“If I can’t put him out with my striking, then I’m ready and I’ll push myself to go through the whole three rounds. I know that Bibiano will constantly shoot for the takedown and he’ll try to take me and bring the fight to the ground. I’ve been working on how to counter his grappling, and I have a game plan ready for it.”
