Brazilian MMA icon and former ONE bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes is still competing against the world's top talents nearly 20 years into his professional career. He's healthy, motivated, and prepared to regain his world title.
Fernandes is scheduled to face No. 5 ranked bantamweight Stephen Loman at ONE on Prime Video 4, in what will be his first appearance since losing his belt.
Despite his advanced age, 'The Flash' is feeling healthy and confident heading into his 15th ONE outing. He recently told The MMA Superfan:
"Everything’s about your mind and how you feel. If you feel you’re ready to move forward to the next step, a hundred percent. It’s about how you feel. For me, I’ve been very blessed, because I’ve had no injuries. I take care of my body. I take care of my mind. And because of this, I keep it going."

It appears as though the 42-year-old has no intention of hanging the gloves up in the near future. His mind is set on re-acquiring the title that was once his.
Bibiano Fernandes coveting another world title shot
Fernandes has had two separate bantamweight title reigns under ONE's banner. A true competitor at heart, 'The Flash' is dying for another opportunity to become a world champion. He told ONE Championship:
“I think they [Andrade and Lineker] need to face each other again. After this fight, we will know who is the champion. So, we have to wait for that. And like I said, if the belt wants me back, I'll be there with arms wide open to welcome it back.”
The bantamweight strap is currently vacant following the no-contest ruling in the division's most recent title fight between John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade. Lineker, who beat Fernandes, missed weight prior to the bout.
'Hands of Stone' and 'Wonder Boy' are expected to run it back at ONE on Prime Video 7 in February 2022. Bibiano Fernandes is clearly eyeing the winner of the bout, and may face them if he secures a victory in his upcoming bout.
Bibiano Fernandes will grace the circle once again at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18 against rising contender Stephen Loman, live from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
