Bibiano Fernandes has a mature attitude towards his ONE bantamweight world title loss to 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker. Brazil's Fernandes has only lost via knockout twice in his storied career.

'The Flash' is a veteran MMA fighter. The Brazilian athlete made his professional debut nearly 20 years ago in 2004. Fernandes has earned world titles in whichever organization he competed in, including DREAM and ONE Championship.

His first knockout loss was to future WEC world champion Urijah Faber in only his second professional fight in 2006. His second KO loss was not until 2022 against John Lineker.

Fernandes discussed the same losses in an interview with ONE Championship. He explained:

"The first knockout I suffered in my career was a very quick one. But I didn't regret it. I got up and kept going. I kept training, focused, and corrected my mistakes. Regarding Lineker's fight, he hits hard and landed a good punch. But it was a nice fight. It happened and now, it's time to move on. It is not to be regretted. It's getting up and moving on."

Bibiano Fernandes on the comeback trail

The Brazilian-born fighter Bibiano Fernandes is on the comeback trail and looking to get back into world title contention. The journey begins at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, which will be broadcast live and free to North American audiences on the streaming platform.

'The Flash' is booked against a dangerous top-five ranked opponent 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman. Fernandes knows the dangers and skills that the Filipino-born athlete Loman possesses. In an interview with ONE Championship, he said:

“My striking has evolved a lot. He has a very good striking game, he has a dangerous left hand, he works well with his right hand hooks, and his straight with his left hand. I understand his game. He’s a dangerous guy, and he moves a lot.”

'The Flash' believes he has some advantages in this bout. He explained:

"I’m going to test his grappling, his wrestling, and his striking. I’m sure I’ll have a good fight against him. If he messes up, I’ll finish him.”

Bibiano Fernandes and Stephen Loman will battle for a position in the top five of the competitive bantamweight division. The fight is booked for ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. All the action will be broadcast live and free on Amazon's streaming platform for all its subscribers.
