Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker are just hours away from stepping into the circle for their highly-anticipated showdown at ONE on Prime Video 3. ONE Championship returns to Malaysia with a stacked lineup headlined by the bantamweight main event featuring two Brazilian knockout artists.
The world has been debating who will walk out the winner this Friday night, including ONE Championship legend Bibiano Fernandes. As one of the most dominant fighters in promotional history, ‘The Flash’ knows what it takes to capture ONE gold.
He also knows all too well how dangerous the hands of John Lineker are. Even so, Fernandes believes that Fabricio Andrade is the man that can hand ‘Hands of Stone’ his first loss inside the circle:
“I’m going with Fabricio because he’s more like an MMA guy, and he moves a lot,” Fernandes said in an interview with ONE Championship.

At ONE: Lights Out in March, John Lineker shocked the world when he knocked out Fernandes to capture the ONE bantamweight world championship. Seven months later, ‘Hands of Stone’ returns to the circle facing a challenger who is as dangerous as he is motivated in Fabricio Andrade.
Fabricio Andrade credited mixed martial arts with improving his self-confidence and motivation
Going into the biggest fight of his still relatively short career, Fabricio Andrade takes a look back at the road that brought him there and how the journey began. In a recent interview with ONE Championship, ‘Wonder Boy’ shared the story of how combat sports gave him direction and self-confidence in the midst of a difficult upbringing.
“The fact that I come from a very humble family, and I went through many difficulties, especially in my childhood [meant that I had low self-esteem]. Until I started training, I didn’t have a goal, and this messed with my head a lot. I wanted to do something different, and I couldn’t.”
Andrade continued his story, saying
“After training and competing in the amateurs for a while, I started to receive a lot of compliments. People around me motivated and praised me, saying that I was good and that I could be a champion. I think these outside accolades started to change my mind. And my focus, which was very big, also started to help me a lot to elevate my self-esteem. Over the years, I also became more vain and more confident, and this increased [it too].”
