Former UFC BMF champion Jorge Masvidal recently spoke about the current BMF champ Max Holloway and a potential fight between them in the future.
Speaking to MMA Fighting on YouTube, 'Gamebred' sang Holloway's praises and painted a scenario where a classic battle between BMF champions would be something fight fans would salivate for.
Masvidal said:
"Man, I'm the biggest Max Holloway fan, possibly. I love this guy. I love how he fights. I love his style. I love how he carries himself outside of the ring. He's one of my favorite all-time fighters. So, man, it would be an honor to get Max. I mean, from the bottom of my heart, [it would] be an honor if we throw down, we put on a f*cking show. One of them fights for all the generations. All the lifetimes."

Masvidal won the inaugural "Bad Motherf*cker" (BMF) belt back in 2019 at UFC 244 by defeating fellow MMA icon Nate Diaz via doctor stoppage due to a cut. Holloway then won the belt five years later by knocking out another former BMF champ Justin Gaethje in perhaps the greatest KO you'll ever see this year at UFC 300.
A bout between 'Gamebred' and 'Blessed' would surely be a treat to hardcore fight fans.
Jorge Masvidal reveals he's in talks with the UFC for a possible return soon
After winning the BMF belt, Jorge Masvidal challenged then-UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman but came up short. Nearly a year later, he rematched 'The Nigerian Nightmare' but was knocked out in the second round. He then followed it up with back-to-back losses to rival Colby Covington and divisional standout Gilbert Burns.
After losing four fights in a row in the UFC, the Cuban-American fighter announced his retirement from MMA in 2023. A year later, however, Masvidal revisited his rivalry with Nate Diaz and faced him in a boxing match in July, which he lost via a majority decision.
Speaking to MMA Fighting, the former BMF king revealed that he's talking to the UFC's Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, for a possible return this year, saying (20:53):
"Been talking to my boy Hunter [Campbell], 'let me check this date. Let me see if this dude wants heat. Let me see if that guy wants to get beat up. First, lock in the date. Lock in that date. Then find a body"
